Maltipoo
Character
The fluffy Maltipoo is friendly and alert. He inherits this trait from his respective parents: the Maltese and the Poodle. However, he seems less of a fragile lap dog than the Maltese; his slightly larger stature makes him less vulnerable and therefore more suitable for small, active children than his ancestor. He is always cheerful and, with his playful, humorous demeanor, the family favorite. This intelligent, even-tempered companion is always up for a game and enjoys going for walks with his family.
Appearance
A Maltipoo instantly steals your heart with its large, dark yet friendly eyes and adorable floppy ears. These dogs are small and slender with a cuddly, wavy, or even curly coat. Common colors include white, apricot, brown, black, or piebald. These little rascals are between 20 and 35 cm tall and typically weigh around 3 to 9 kg.
Other details
A Borderdoodle doesn't need a lot of exercise, but it's good to take them out at least twice a day. This also stimulates these clever little dogs mentally. They love playing with their family, romping around, and retrieving. This breed sheds relatively little hair due to its Poodle ancestry. Brush them three times a week with a good dog brush and check them regularly for ticks or dirt after walks. Maltese already have minimal shedding, but this mix is even less affected by it thanks to its Poodle genes. Their skin, hair, and saliva carry fewer allergens. This makes this breed ideal for owners with allergies. Their moderate need for exercise also makes them comfortable in smaller homes, apartments, and flats. The life expectancy of a Maltipoo is typically 10 to 15 years.
