English Cocker Spaniel
Character
An English Cocker Spaniel is a cheerful, energetic, and athletic dog. Their gentle, lively nature makes them perfect family pets. They are friendly and affectionate towards their owners. Naturally, they enjoy being considered part of the family. They also bring a lot of cheer to any living room. They are quite intelligent and sometimes a bit headstrong. By barking, they warn of danger. Training can teach them to bark only when absolutely necessary. These dogs get along well with cats and other pets if raised with them. The same goes for children. If not, it's best to keep these dogs with older children.
Appearance
Cocker Spaniels are beautiful dogs. English Cockers are generally larger than American Cockers and have a slightly different body type. Male English Cocker Spaniels stand 39 to 41 cm at the shoulder. Females are 38 to 39 cm tall. They weigh between 12 and 14 kg. The silky coat is longer on the ears, breeches, chest, and back of the legs. These dogs come in many colors. They are particularly beautiful in liver or red tones. But they are also very elegant in solid black. Blue roan is currently the most popular color for these dogs.
Other details

English Cockers are excellent hunting dogs. They enjoy games and physical activity and can handle a brisk walk. This breed typically lives for about 12 to 13 years.
