Labradoodle
Character
The Labradoodle combines all the personality traits of the popular Labrador with the advantages of a Poodle. This cheerful, friendly four-legged friend definitely lives up to the Labrador's reputation as the ideal family dog and is also as smart and diligent as a Poodle. They also enjoy company, but you can easily train them to be alone. Like Labs, they are true bon vivants and children's friends who enjoy life by entertaining their family.
Appearance
Labradoodles come in three different coat types: finely curly like the Poodle, almost straight like the Labrador, or slightly wavy in between. The most common colors are beige or white, but also black, brown, or piebald. This medium-sized dog typically grows to a height of 30 to 71 cm and weighs an average of 10 to 40 kg, depending on the size of the Poodle (miniature or medium). These muscular dogs are known not only for their beautiful coats but also for their piercing, inquisitive brown or black eyes and cheerful, floppy ears.
Other details
A Labradoodle is easy to train. Their hunting instincts make them love to track and retrieve. Their short coat requires regular brushing and clipping, but it's virtually allergen-free, as are their saliva and dander. This makes them ideal for allergy sufferers. A well-loved and well-groomed Labradoodle can live between 12 and 14 years.
