Poodle
Character
A poodle's personality traits are largely similar to those of a standard or standard poodle. These little rascals can be quite loud and active, making them less compatible with small children. However, with calm children who handle their poodle responsibly, there's no problem. Poodles are very intelligent, sweet, and loyal. They are alert and watchful, but not typical guardians. They are especially known for their sociability. There are many misconceptions that the poodle is a "granny dog" that loves to sit on a lap all day. But in reality, they thrive in nature and enjoy going out. Their personality blends well with many different types of canine companions.
Appearance
A poodle's shoulder height is between 28 and 35 cm. Most poodles have a coat with frizzy hair in a single, solid color. Common colors include white, beige, apricot, brown, and black. Besides the frizzy coat with its fine, woolly texture, there is also the less common corded coat. In this type, the hair hangs down in matted cords of at least 20 cm.
Other details
Because of their small size, poodles thrive in apartments and flats. However, it's important to take your curly companion for regular short walks. Poodles do require some maintenance. Most owners take their poodles to a professional groomer every 3 to 8 weeks, but you can also do this yourself. Daily brushing prevents matting. Good ear and dental hygiene is also important to prevent infections. Poodles can develop characteristic brown stains around their eyes from watering. Fortunately, you can prevent this by regularly cleaning their eyes with lotion. A well-groomed poodle can live for about 12 to 15 years.
